Hole 8 is the course’s most difficult rated hole.
There is plenty of space in the drive, and if you are far-reaching you can get the ball a bit up the hill in the landing area. If you have more average length on the driver, it can be an advantage to place the drive on the left side of the fairway to get a better view of the landing area for the 2nd stroke on the other side of the pelvis.
If you have a bad drive, you should play cards in the 2nd stroke and place the ball on top of the hill before the brook. From here you have a good overview and can hit a long shot against the green area. The key to success on this hole is not to play the 2nd stroke over ability, but to find common sense.
The 2nd shot can advantageously be placed on the right side of the fairway to avoid an inlet over the 2 large bunkers on the left side. Behind the green there is room to roll off, or a little too long input, but be careful – if you get too far you are in the woods.
